Learning Content Specialist

Primary Function

The Learning Content Specialist supports the development, implementation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of learning programs and training deliverables. This role partners with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and learning technology teams to create, implement, evaluate, and maintain training content across multiple learning platforms while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and adult learning principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, revise, and maintain instructional content.
  • Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance evaluations of training deliverables.
  • Partner with content developers, LMS administrators, and implementation administrators to deploy training content through learning platforms including Intuitive Learning, ISU, and Seismic.
  • Monitor and track training content throughout implementation and translation workflows.
  • Provide regular project status updates to Learning & Development stakeholders.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during implementation and evaluation phases.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to streamline content implementation and delivery.
  • Affirm training materials meet organizational quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience designing and developing, eLearning courses, Instructor-led training (ILT), Learning assessments.
  • Demonstrated application of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Experience collaborating with SMEs and instructional design professionals to develop learning content.
  • Ability to work within established instructional design processes, tools, and templates.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Able to review and approve applicable technical and/or clinical content.
  • Portfolio and/or work samples required.
  • Technical Skills: Articulate Rise; Articulate Storyline; Camtasia; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Smartsheet or equivalent project management software.
  • Experience within a biotechnology or medical device organization.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency.
  • Experience delivering training in professional or classroom environments.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development methodologies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or Completion of a related certificate program or instructional design bootcamp.
  • Degree in: Curriculum Development; Instructional Design/Technology; Education Science; Engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a biotechnology or medical device environment preferred.
