Leads/Finishing 1st Shift ($20.16-21.91)
About the role
This position involves attaching lead wires or terminals to copper wire, securing and insulating these connectors from each other, and applying insulating material and the nameplate to the outside layer of the unit according to design requirements. The role includes operating hand tools, hydraulic or manual hand crimping tools, and a taping machine, as well as applying finishing insulation material by hand. The facility is climate-controlled.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic crimpers to splice copper wire to lead wire or terminals.
- Alter, trim, and attach materials such as wire, insulation, and tape per work instructions.
- Set up and operate a finishing machine, ensuring proper settings and functions to avoid downtime.
- Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection of cores and materials.
- Finish units according to the production specification sheet.
- Operate a hoist safely and properly.

- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
