Leadership Development Office Intern - Hourly - Albany

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Intern to provide essential support for our leadership development initiatives. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about contributing to the growth and success of our leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating engaging and professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Conduct research to identify relevant resources, best practices, and innovative approaches for leadership development.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of leadership development events and programs.
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize information from various sources to support the development of training content and resources.
  • Provide general administrative support to the leadership development team.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university, or graduate program outside of New York State.
  • Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two- or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.
  • Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.

Skills

  • Experience in creating PowerPoint presentations and materials.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive and self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • A high degree of creativity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A motivated and results-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum education level: Sophomore.
  • Preferred maximum education level: Graduate Student.
  • Preferred degree concentrations: Business Administration, Communications Studies, Counseling, Education Services, Liberal Arts, Social Work, Management, Visual/Performing Arts.
