About the Role

Provides clinical leadership and manages daily operations of a fast-paced Respiratory Department, ensuring quality patient care, financial stability, and departmental growth.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates staffing, scheduling, and policy review for 24/7 operations.
• Conducts staff evaluations, manages inventory, and oversees quality improvement initiatives.
• Develops and delivers competency, orientation, and continuing education programs for respiratory staff.
• Serves as a resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensures compliance with JCAHO, state, and federal standards.
• Performs respiratory therapy modalities, develops care plans, and adapts treatments as needed.
• Promotes professional practice and effective communication within the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and current state license.
• 3-5 years of recent skilled respiratory experience, including neonatal.
• Current BLS certification; NRP or NALS and PALS certifications preferred.
