About the role
The Lead Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will lead Clinical Education for Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care at Morristown Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Leading clinical education initiatives
- Training new team members
- Serving as a clinical educator for a team of 22 Advanced Practice Professionals
- Supporting the continued growth of the open-heart program
Requirements
A minimum of five years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery critical care is required; prior leadership experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of NP or PA experience in cardiothoracic critical care surgery
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently

Full-time position working 12-hour shifts, with scheduling based on departmental needs. No call requirement; a weekend and night rotation are required.
