Physician Assistant, PD, Cardiovascular Surgery - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

About the role

The Physician Assistant will serve as first assist in the operating room and provide expert care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients. Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Radial Artery Harvesting, and Femoral Vessel Exposure is required. The PA must also be skilled in procedures including central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, and suturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first assist in the operating room
• Provide expert care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients
• Proficient in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Radial Artery Harvesting, and Femoral Vessel Exposure
• Skilled in procedures including central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, and suturing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program
• NP or PA Certification and NJ License is required
• DEA and CDS is required
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Critical Care or Cardiology experience
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
