Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Cardiac Step-Down Unit - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

About the role

The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join the team on the 12-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit. The APP will work collaboratively with physicians, fellow APPs, and the multidisciplinary care team to assess, manage, and coordinate care for acutely ill cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Direct involvement in medical consultation, patient assessments, procedures, and care planning
• Specialize in the management of complex cardiac conditions
• Recommend diagnostic testing
• Initiate appropriate treatment strategies in collaboration with the attending team

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program
• NP or PA Certification and NJ License is required
• DEA and CDS is required
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Critical Care or Cardiology experience
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
