Lead .NET Core Developer with Retail Banking

IT Engagements is a global staff augmentation firm providing talent on-demand and total workforce solutions for a premium client in the retail banking sector.

About the role

Lead .NET Core Developer position based in Atlanta, GA (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Experience with Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, Azure SQL).
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable .NET Core applications.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Drive application modernization and migration from legacy .NET Framework to .NET 8/9.
• Design and develop solutions supporting money movement/payment processing platforms.
• Mentor and guide development teams through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical roadmap discussions.
• Promote engineering best practices including Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience (not less than 14 years).
• Mandatory experience in the banking domain with retail banking.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Blazor.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ).
• Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to drive technical decisions and architectural discussions.
• Passion for continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
