Lead Multi Modality Imaging Technologist

About the role

The Lead Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Must be capable of developing, interpreting and administering all policies, procedures and protocols of the department. Must maintain efficient and effective department operations while maintaining compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and practices. Must possess critical thinking skills and be capable of assuming complete departmental authority and responsibility in the absence of the Director/Supervisor.

The Lead Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for performing Imaging exams in accordance with standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The Lead Multi-Modality Tech demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques. Additionally, they ensure that the Imaging department is compliant with all Radiation Right Policies as well as all ACR accreditation guidelines.

Qualifications

To be qualified for this role, you will need:

• Associate Degree in Radiology (ARRT-R) Radiography (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 3 years experience - required
