About the Role

As a Lead Medical Assistant at our Littleton, New Hampshire urgent care clinic, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the clinic’s daily operations while providing clinical leadership and guidance to the medical assistant team. This is a dual-role position: in addition to lead responsibilities, you will remain an active member of the clinical team, working scheduled clinical shifts alongside your peers and supporting high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize daily clinic operations to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Assist with scheduling operations for the clinic, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and staff to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to maintain a high standard of patient service.
  • Enforce clinic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for any patient feedback, working with the Medical Leadership team to address concerns.
  • Place and manage orders for medical supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to track expenses related to supplies and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and engage clinic staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Support performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to enhance staff development.
  • Foster teamwork and effective communication among all clinic team members.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Regional Leadership team to contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the clinic's market presence and community engagement.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation criteria.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Partner with your Regional Leadership along with corporate resources to ensure effective communication and goal alignment.

Requirements

  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, support, and positively influence a clinical team.
  • Demonstrated experience in a lead or supervisory capacity within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently, possess initiative, and drive results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across the organization.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical workflows, and patient care practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Availability to work in clinic Monday through Friday with rotating on-call for weekends and flexibility to support opening and closing of clinic regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous lead, supervisory, or mentoring experience.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and training of clinical staff.
  • Experience with inventory management, clinic inspections, or quality initiatives.
  • Experience with When to Work, Clockwise, ADP, and Envi.
