Purpose & Scope

Serves as a resource for Medical Assistants. Provides general administrative and clinical support to physicians and other practitioners. Ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care and maintains medical supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Takes vital signs and performs office procedures per department protocol.
  • Accurately documents clinical activities, per procedure.
  • Ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care.
  • Maintains medical supplies at all times.
  • Assists with intake and patient flow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • College diploma or certificate preferred.
  • Two years of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Credential to be obtained in six months.
  • BLS certification required.

  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology and procedures.
