Lead Medical Assistant

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant Lead, you will work at our onsite outpatient Grove Park Clinic in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties including discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
• Make decisions regarding daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals.
• Oversee work of others and/or serve as the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology.
• Work within broad guidelines with little oversight.
• Contribute to process improvement, deliver in-depth education/training, and provide advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified.
• 3+ years experience.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• 1+ years of MA experience.
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay

$48,300 - $65,900 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
