Lead Medical Assistant
About the role
The Lead Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. They are responsible for both administrative tasks and direct patient care, assuming ownership of advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks such as discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and sterilizing/cleaning equipment.
- Document information into the electronic medical records system.
- Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of active certifications.
- Make decisions regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and external vendors.
- Contribute to process improvement, deliver in-depth training, and provide advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.
Requirements
- Certified or Registered Phlebotomy Experience
- Medication/Vaccine Administration Experience
- 3+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CPR Certified
- 1+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience in a PCO Center
- Knowledge of Value-Based Care, including HEDIS, CPT/ICD Coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
Qualifications
- Experience in a Value-Based Care environment
- Experience with TB screening
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems

Pay
$48,300 - $65,900 per year
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00
