Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure patient comfort, safety, and personal needs.
- Affords support to physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
- Performs various patient care duties under the guidance of a multidisciplinary patient care team.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course.
- In lieu of educational requirements, equivalent clinical experience to completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
- Expertise in ambulatory/physician office practice flow and activities.
- Knowledge of specialty specific disease processes and conditions.
- Experience with in-office procedures and patient education.
- Current BLS card (CPR).
- Color vision acuity necessary for certain lab duties, as determined by supervisor.
Qualifications

- Current certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Two years of patient care experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
