About the role

This position involves managing operational quality control tasks and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include reviewing technician assignments, conducting spot checks, and communicating with tech support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure compliance with Roster Authorizations and Repair Station Authorizations.
  • Perform front-line spot checks of technician maintenance activity to verify adherence to AMM, RSQCM, and customer GMM guidelines.
  • Run/taxi qualification of techs, verification of squawk completion, and communication with tech support.
  • Ensure MEL procedures are complied with and MQB 2018-02 Rev 1 procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform aircraft final walk-around and release, focusing on areas disturbed during maintenance.
  • Advise customers via email regarding aircraft release from West Star Aviation custody.
  • Ensure proper use of technical data and follow policies and procedures outlined in the WSA RSQCM.
  • Tag, inspect, and identify parts/components as per the manual, coordinating with maintenance activities.
  • Verify customer requests and MX Net status, updating MX Net as needed.
  • Perform functions authorized on the Repair Station Roster, reject non-compliant items, and hold release if unsatisfactory conditions are identified.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with Part 43.
  • Proficient in using various inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to perform work according to FAA guidelines.
  • Ability to input and retrieve information from computers, including Apple and Microsoft products.
  • Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Able to travel to various locations, in all weather conditions, to perform repairs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
