Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of hydraulics technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of hydraulic system maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion of projects.
- Perform complex diagnostic procedures and troubleshooting on hydraulic systems, guiding technicians in root cause analysis and effective problem-solving techniques.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of hydraulic system components, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide input on hydraulic system requirements, modifications, and upgrades.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hydraulic system maintenance, repair, and installation activities, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Train and educate team members on safe work practices, hydraulic system operations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators and maintenance personnel on complex hydraulic system issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities, including work orders, service reports, and equipment inventory.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in hydraulic system maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical certification or vocational training in hydraulics is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Hydraulics Technician, with a track record of successfully leading a team.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics related to hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic system diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance techniques.
- Experience with hydraulic system testing and measurement tools, such as pressure gauges and flow meters.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve complex hydraulic system issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols and guidelines.
- Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
