Plumbing Lead Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install and diagnose water heaters, boilers, water lines, drains, and gas lines
• Ensure installations meet code and company quality standards
• Maintain jobsite safety, organization, and team productivity
• Use various plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, monometers, etc.)
• Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement
• Document details on all calls including estimates and recommendations
• Complete all tasks per company quality and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2+ years of residential plumbing installation experience
• Previous experience as residential plumber
• Experience with re-pipes, drain/sewer systems, water heaters, and residential plumbing installations
• Knowledge of boiler piping, circulator pumps, expansion tanks, and zone valves preferred
• Proficient with PEX, copper, PVC, ABS, and cast iron piping
• Knowledge of local plumbing and mechanical codes
• Journeyman license is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Able to work cohesively with team members, apprentices, and management
• Strong communication and professionalism with customers and team members

Work Environment

• Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces
• Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds
• Operates hand and power tools and vehicles
• Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members
• Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust
