Lead Housekeeping Supervisor

Essential Job Functions

• Supervise, direct, and assure the completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Inspect site visit rooms and VIP arrivals, and provide service for VIPs and recovery guests.
• Train and audit supervisors, room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons on both hotel and Forbes 5-star standards.
• Able to assist guests as needed and work in a strong, team environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to coach, counsel, and develop employees through basic skills and supervision.
• Must be able to motivate by example either on the production floor or in a classroom environment.
• Able to establish and maintain a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations.
• Able to follow directions, perform tasks with attention to detail, speed accuracy, and follow-through.
• Able to work without direct supervision.
• Able to work well as part of a team, set up and ensure workstations are organized with designated supplies and equipment.
• Able to report any faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and other problems immediately to appropriate department.
• Able to ensure work areas for the next shift are stocked.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs throughout the day.

Education/Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of previous experience is a plus.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of the hotel to ensure timeliness of customer needs.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Reading and counting skills are essential.
• Computer efficiency in Excel and Word is preferred.
