About the role

The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center including, but not limited to: Trainer, Process Assistant and Shipping Clerk. All role types will include performing production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, and unload/load trucks. Lead Fulfillment Associates will also be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them and keeping their work areas safe.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, and unload/load trucks.
  • Communicate instructions to other associates, motivate them and keep their work areas safe.
  • Hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center including Trainer, Process Assistant, and Shipping Clerk.
  • Manage inbound flow from scheduling appointments to time of receives.
  • Work in a team environment with Procurement to administer the flow of non-inventory goods.
  • Resolve issues on the Amazon Robotics (AR) floor such as restarting a drive, and help associates at stations with amnesty processing and prevention.
  • Monitor overall floor health of the robotic field and lead the safe and effective work dispatch for Amnesty Floor Monitors, while ensuring minimum impact on downstream operations.
  • Work closely with the ICQA and operations teams in Inbound and Outbound to provide data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root cause investigation of defects, and support to insure compliance to ICQA-related SoX requirements.

Requirements

  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
  • Are 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • A completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others (preferred).
  • 1+ year working in a like environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail) (preferred).
  • Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members (preferred).

Pay

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
