Lead Endoscopy Tech

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Endoscopy Technician who will provide direct patient care and observation in an ambulatory setting while acting as a preceptor for all other Endoscopy Technicians. You will assist with the care of patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• 2 years’ experience in an acute setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center

• Endoscopy Reprocessing Certification
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment

What You Will Do in This Role

• Assist with Endoscopy Scheduling
• Demonstrate knowledge related to the maintenance, cleanliness, and sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Maintain a sanitary environment for the provision of patient care
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure the availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
• Assist the physician with interventions as indicated
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
• Demonstrate appropriate aseptic techniques
