Lead Electrical Power Engineer
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 9+ years of professional experience, or 7 Years with a master’s degree
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical high-power systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems
- Experience with conceptual design of AC/DC power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage systems
- Qualifying and releasing electrical products to military standards MIL-STD-461 and/or MIL-STD-1399
- Experience analyzing and translating system requirements to support of proposals for new business and development of overall power distribution and architecture

The Level 4 Power Systems Engineer is a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and validation of complex electrical power architectures supporting radar systems. This role leads technical efforts, mentors junior engineers, and collaborates closely with cross functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives throughout the system lifecycle.

Desired Skills
Knowledge of high voltage/High-current and safety, grounding, and shielding/EMI
Experience with Power Modeling/Simulation Software such as PSpice
Demonstrated knowledge of operating test equipment including oscilloscopes, Megohmmeter and power supplies
Experience coordinating root cause and corrective action investigation internally as well as with suppliers
Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, stakeholders, subcontractors and customers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to work effectively in a team environment
Occasional travel to customer sites and/or suppliers
