Electrical Engineer - Power Lead

About the role

Lead electrical power system design for aircraft integration, including load analysis, vendor coordination, testing, and system integration. Provide guidance and training to junior staff, ensure project completion within budget and schedule, contribute to new product development, and influence stakeholders through leadership skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of aircraft design experience (or 9+ years with a graduate degree, or 15+ years without a degree)
• Knowledge of FAA or military aircraft certification
• Proficiency with ECAD tools
• Understanding of power and mission systems
• Willingness to travel internationally and support field modifications

Preferred Skills

• 10+ years in defense aerospace aircraft design
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Experience with secondary power distribution and wire deration calculations
• Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-704
• Experience with Siemens NX or Capital for electrical design
