Electrical Power Engineer (Lead)

About the role

The Level 4 Power Systems Engineer is a senior technical role focused on designing, analyzing, integrating, and validating complex electrical power architectures for radar systems. They lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives throughout the system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, and validate complex electrical power architectures for radar systems
• Lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives
• Translate test requirements into procedures and operate test equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power
• 7+ years of experience (or 9+ years without a master's degree)
• Expertise in high-power systems (100 kW+), AC/DC power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage
• Familiarity with military standards such as MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
