About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the development and integration of electrical power systems for aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop electrical power systems for aircraft integration
  • Conduct electrical load analysis, prepare system documentation, and coordinate with vendors
  • Support testing, system integration, and ensure designs meet requirements at minimal cost
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior team members
  • Ensure project completion within schedule and budget while adhering to processes and standards
  • Contribute to new product development, process improvements, and standards
  • Influence stakeholders and demonstrate leadership to gain support across teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 12 years of relevant aircraft design experience, or a graduate degree with 9 years; or 15 years of experience without a degree
  • Knowledge of FAA or military aircraft airworthiness, certification, and standards
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools and aircraft power systems standards like MIL-STD-704
  • Understanding of power systems and mission systems
  • Ability to travel internationally and support field modifications; comfortable working in aircraft hangar environments and aboard aircraft
  • Eligibility for security clearance and willingness to support travel as needed

  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences
  • Experience in electrical system design, systems integration, and vendor coordination
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Preferred: 10+ years in defense aerospace aircraft design, strong communication and leadership skills, experience with Siemens NX or Capital software, and wire deration calculations
