Electrical Power Engineer (Lead)

About the Role

A senior technical role focused on designing, analyzing, integrating, and validating complex electrical power architectures for radar systems. You will lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives throughout the system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, and validate complex electrical power architectures for radar systems
• Lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives
• Develop conceptual designs for power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage systems
• Translate test requirements into procedures and operate test equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on power
• 9+ years of professional experience, or 7+ years with a master’s degree
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
• Expertise in high-power electrical systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems
• Knowledge of military standards such as MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399
