Lead Devops Engineer (GovCloud)

About the role

We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team and shape the future of IT Operations Management (ITOM) delivery. In this role, you will:

• Lead monthly deployments and upgrades of the ITOM SaaS suite across 20+ global data centers, including AWS GovCloud (IL4 and IL5).
• Oversee semi-annual upgrades of services like Victoria Metrics, OpenSearch, Redis, and Kafka across AWS, Oracle, and Google Cloud.
• Migrate customers between ITOM instances, apply hotfixes, implement change requests, and resolve service requests.
• Remediate monitoring alerts, drive automation initiatives, and establish repeatable, reliable processes that scale.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, VCP, AWS, GCP, or OCI are a plus.
• Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting (required); additional scripting/automation experience with Python and Java is desirable.
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker, following best practices.
• Solid knowledge of Terraform (required); Ansible experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and project management tools (JIRA).
• Experience with AWS (including GovCloud), Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
• Proficient in AWS managed services such as Kafka, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, and Postgres/RDS.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana, Fluentbit, and Clickhouse; knowledge of Victoria Metrics is a bonus.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $132,975 - $221,625. Actual salaries depend on factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country-specific benefits.
