Key Responsibilities
- Act as a hands‑on technical resource, setting the bar for DevOps engineering excellence
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers through design reviews, automation standards, and operational best practices
- Define and enforce DevOps standards, patterns, and tooling across teams
- Partner with application, QA, and architecture teams to align DevOps strategy with business and delivery goals
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient AWS infrastructure
- Own Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS-nativeservices
- Automate environment provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows
- Design and support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Enable best practices for microservices deployment, scaling, and resilience on AWS
- Support platform capabilities such as blue/green and canary deployments
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and CloudWatch
- Own logging and observability solutions (oTel, Splunk etc.)
- Lead root cause analysis, incident response, and continuous reliability improvements
- Participate in and help mature on-call and operational support processes
- Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM design, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning
- Drive AWS cost optimization through right-sizing, automation, and cost-management tooling
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering with strong hands-on delivery
- Proven experience leading or acting as a technical lead for DevOps or SRE teams
- Deep expertise with AWS services and cloud architecture patterns
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Extensive Experience With Docker And Kubernetes (EKS Preferred)
- Solid background building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or equivalent)
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Gitlab
- Familiarity with micro-services and advanced Kubernetes networking
- Experience operating production systems at scale with a focus on reliability and cost efficiency
