Responsibilities
- Lead front office staff by providing guidance, support, and daily operational direction.
- Help ensure patient copayments and outstanding balances are collected accurately and consistently.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information using real-time eligibility and payer websites.
- Absorb patient flow throughout the clinic to provide an exceptional patient experience.
- Support front office operations by assisting with patient check-in and check-out, while helping back office staff with rooming patients and documenting medical histories in the EMR as needed.
- Help train and onboard new team members while supporting ongoing staff education and competency development.
- Partner with physicians, providers, and clinical staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, work assignments, office supply ordering, and inventory management.
- Interact with patients daily to resolve questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience working in a medical practice or clinic is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a medical office is strongly preferred.
- A working knowledge of medical insurance requirements and eligibility verification is required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
- The ability to lead by example while building positive relationships with patients and teammates is crucial.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care are required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Medical practice experience, healthcare operations experience, or significant leadership experience required.
- Three (3) years of experience working in a medical practice or clinic preferred.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a medical office strongly preferred.
