This role leads procurement activities for third-party vendor engagements, primarily supporting HealthEdge’s India business units while also serving as the sourcing/procurement lead for operations in the Philippines and Mexico. Part of the Centers of Excellence (COE), this position provides expertise in sourcing and procurement to support the company’s product divisions and enterprise goals.
Responsibilities
- Source goods and services for non-US business entities and vendors.
- Negotiate commercial terms for non-US vendor contracts.
- Lead the review of non-US vendor contracts, collaborating with legal, information security, finance, and business leads as needed.
- Initiate onboarding of new non-US vendors and maintain the vendor contracting process.
- Engage offshore sourcing/procurement teams to raise purchase requests.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure purchase orders are in place for non-PO-backed invoices.
- Coordinate with the Tax team to ensure POs include appropriate GST for India vendors.
- Track cost savings (actual spend reduction and cost avoidance) for non-US purchases.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate local vendors into global suppliers to reduce the number of vendors, contracts, and POs.
- Assess ongoing purchases to identify spending trends, duplication, and vendor consolidation prospects.
- Negotiate vendor pricing, analyze and draft contract documents, and collaborate with legal on commercial terms.
- Manage day-to-day sourcing transactions, including requisition and contract requests, subscription/spend tracking, and proactive renewal management.
- Partner with business leaders on capacity planning and recommend ideal contract structures.
- Standardize indirect procurement processes to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
- Develop Requests for Proposals with internal stakeholders, analyze bid responses, and determine best value for the company.
- Evaluate new and existing service providers, negotiate performance standards, and measure spend and service results.
- Review Contract Request Forms and ensure required approvals from Finance and Legal.
- Resolve invoice and PO issues with Accounts Payable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or procurement in India.
- Experience negotiating commercial terms with vendors/suppliers in India.
- Basic computer-related skills.
- English-speaking proficiency.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in India, with sourcing and procurement responsibility for India, Mexico, and the Philippines.
