About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with expertise in hosting Java applications on Linux, scripting, and network troubleshooting to support a secure, multi-data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Host and manage Java applications on Linux platforms.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Shell Script, BladeLogic NSH, Python, or Perl.
• Implement and troubleshoot server certificates and TLS connectivity issues.
• Conduct network troubleshooting using tools such as Ping, nslookup, traceroute, and curl.
• Utilize deployment tools including BladeLogic, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, and/or AutoSys.
• Support a secure, multi-data center environment with a basic understanding of firewall rules.
• Monitor systems using Glassbox and other tools like Tealeaf, Splunk, and SiteScope.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of hands-on Linux administration and shell scripting experience.
• Experience hosting Java applications on Linux.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Script, Python, or Perl.
• Strong understanding of server certificate implementation, TLS, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with deployment tools (e.g., BladeLogic, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, AutoSys).
• Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Glassbox, Tealeaf, Splunk, or SiteScope.

Pay

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on factors such as geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
