Laundry & Linen Services Specialist

About the role

The Linen Technician ensures the safe, efficient, and timely handling of linen distribution within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and organize clean and soiled linen according to policies and instructions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage linen levels, including exchanging and building carts to prescribed par levels.
• Respond to customer service calls professionally, and report linen abuse or poor utilization.
• Keep linen storage areas neat and orderly, and transport linen safely within designated areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including working with both clean and soiled linen.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Comfortable working in a team environment with a positive outlook.
• Responsible for determining quantities and schedules for linen delivery.
• Must pass background checks, drug screening, and meet vaccine requirements.
• This active role involves walking 3-5 miles daily, lifting up to 10 pounds, pushing carts up to 70 pounds, and handling soiled textiles safely.
