About the role
The Linen Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient handling of linen distribution activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clean linen and collect soiled items, maintaining neat and organized storage areas.
- Record inventories accurately and manage linen levels, including exchanging and building carts to prescribed levels.
- Respond to customer service calls professionally and efficiently, documenting requests and issues.
- Observe and report linen misuse or abuse; maintain cleanliness of linen storage areas.
- Transport linen carts safely and handle both clean and soiled linens per policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned and support team needs.
Requirements
- Responsible for determining quantities and schedules for linen delivery.
- Must pass background checks, drug screenings, and meet vaccination requirements.
- This active role involves walking several miles daily, lifting up to 10 pounds, pushing carts up to 70 pounds, and safely handling soiled textiles.
- Flexibility to cover other shift roles is also expected.
