Laundry & Linen Services Specialist

About the role

The Linen Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient distribution and collection of linen within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen, maintaining organized storage areas.
• Accurately record inventory levels and manage linen carts to prescribed par levels.
• Respond to service calls professionally, recording and fulfilling requests.
• Monitor linen usage, report abuse, and ensure proper inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in linen storage areas.
• Transport linen carts safely and efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, working with both clean and soiled linen according to policies.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and drug screenings, and meet vaccine or attestations if required.
• Decision‑making: influences linen quantities and delivery schedules based on operational needs.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate a positive, energetic outlook.

Requirements

• Active position involving walking 3‑5 miles daily.
• Reaching, bending, lifting up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling carts weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Handling soiled textiles safely and fulfilling various shift duties as needed.
