Lateral Law enforcement Dispatcher
The Job
Under the guidance of the Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino, and in collaboration with the community and agencies providing services to children, First 5 San Bernardino promotes, supports and enhances the early development of children (prenatal through age five) through a needs based, family centered, culturally appropriate, accessible and integrated service delivery system with well-defined and meaningful outcomes, so that all children enjoy optimal physical, cognitive, emotional and social well-being.
Minimum Requirements
- Three (3) years of office clerical experience which includes performing a wide variety of difficult and responsible clerical duties, serving as a lead clerical worker, or supervising a clerical unit.
- Desired Qualifications: Progressively responsible clerical experience in a First 5 environment or agency serving children and families is highly desirable.
- Progressively responsible clerical experience which includes supervision of varied clerical staff and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines, and computer and typing/keyboarding skills.

- Depending on the number of applications received, there may be a competitive evaluation of qualifications and/or written test. If a written test is administered it will be the week of November 17, 2008 and will consist of an evaluation of knowledge and skills in the following topics:
