Key Responsibilities
- Prepare clear, accurate and detailed cost estimates for large-scale restoration projects, including damage assessment, labor, materials, and equipment that fully align with project needs and insurance requirements.
- Work closely with TPA insurance providers to evaluate damage, prepare scope of work, and ensure estimates comply with insurance protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct on-site assessments to accurately evaluate the extent of damages, identify potential hazards, and assess the necessary restoration measures.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to work alongside project managers and contractors to align estimates with project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing support throughout the estimation and restoration process.
- Maintain precise records of estimates, scope changes, and communication with all parties involved.
- Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the job to ensure they align with original estimates and work with project managers to resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating large-scale commercial and/or insurance restoration projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fire and water restoration industry, including experience with emergency response, mitigation, and repair processes.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Insurance Experience: In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, policies, and claims handling, specifically related to fire and water damage restoration.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to assess damage and accurately estimate restoration costs while considering all variables (materials, labor, permits, etc.).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, and contractors.
- Exemplary Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential challenges in the restoration process and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Certifications: IICRC certification (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) preferred but not required.
