Responsibilities
Successful candidates should have a minimum of a master’s degree in the language of expertise (Chinese and/or German) but a terminal degree is preferred. Evidence of exemplary college teaching experience and the ability to develop and deliver courses utilizing non-traditional pedagogies is highly preferred. Candidates must be able to conduct their assigned courses of instruction in the best manner possible to achieve student learning which include the presentation of ideas in ways that are appropriate for a variety of learners and that show sensitivity to an inclusive and multicultural student population.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student mentorship and collaborative work. They should also show evidence of teaching in non-traditional pedagogies and possess a terminal degree in the language of expertise (Chinese and/or German).

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) seeks to become a reputable, distinctive home for scholarly and vocational transformation for service in the world. The CHSS faculty is committed to mentorship, transformation, empowerment, care and the active and reflective promotion of justice in the world.
