About the role
We are seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team at HDR. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that enhance community well-being worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop site designs through contract document phases of projects
- Conduct site analysis including building operation, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, site grading, storm drainage design, and site amenities
- Meet with client representatives as needed
- Participate in reviews with various utilities and governing agencies for code compliance
- Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites
- Cover workload to ensure deadlines are met, reviewing documents for all areas of conflict with all disciplines, writing and editing site design specifications, selecting landscape and paving materials, and preparing drawings as required
- Perform contract administration as needed
- Produce drawings and lead landscape architecture scope independently
- Experience working with Architecture + Transportation projects / teams
- Support project leadership for our team (technical questions, project management, fee / schedule development)
- Support business development efforts
- Support team staffing / projections
- Self-starter / Proactive!
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- GIS knowledge helpful
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Professional registration
- Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop
- Experience working in Washington / Seattle and existing relationships with local county / cities
- Support business development efforts
- Support team staffing / projections
- Self-starter / Proactive!

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
