Landlord Tenant Law Attorney (In House Perm)
Responsibilities
- Handle residential landlord/tenant matters, including strategy, risk assessment, and execution
- Advisory work, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases and related agreements
- Ensure compliance with applicable housing laws, regulations, and local ordinances
- Support acquisitions and dispositions with a focus on tenancy-related risks and obligations
- Collaborate with property management and operations teams to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience handling landlord/tenant law matters, including litigation and regulatory compliance
- Experience with commercial acquisitions and dispositions, and leasing a plus
- Background from a law firm (large or boutique) or relevant in-house role
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Licensed in Minnesota or eligible for in-house counsel admission
- Outstanding professional references
