Responsibilities
- Advises cities and local government clients on zoning, planning, platting, subdivision, and land use matters
- Drafts and reviews ordinances, resolutions, development agreements, easements, and related documents
- Counsels clients on annexation, ETJ issues, PIDs, TIRZs, economic development, and public infrastructure matters
- Attends public meetings and supports city councils, boards, commissions, and staff
- Researches and analyzes municipal, land use, and real estate legal issues
- Collaborates with attorneys and client teams on complex governmental matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Experience in land use, zoning, municipal law, real estate, or local government preferred
- Strong writing, research, and public-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and provide practical, client-focused legal advice
