Land Development Manager

About the role

K. Hovnanian is celebrating over 65 years of quality and leadership in the home building and community development industry. You will play a large role in making sure everything is done right, managing a team of land development professionals, and organizing, budgeting, and monitoring all phases of developing land for customers' future homes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate, and develop a team of land development professionals including assignment of work and geographic territories, prioritizing work, and reviewing work product.
• Lead the Request For Proposals (RFP’s) process to vendor/professional pool, negotiate, award, and execute contracts.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with a background in civil engineering, planning, or construction management preferred.
• At least 5 years of land development experience in progressively responsible positions; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluid in the Request For Proposals (RFP’s) process to vendor/professional pool, negotiate, award, and execute contracts.

Skills

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience in land development and project management.
• Ability to negotiate and execute contracts.
