Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and track bid letters, purchase agreements, option contracts, amendments, and related documents
- Aid in the collection, review, and distribution of due diligence materials (surveys, environmental reports, title commitments, zoning documents, utility letters, etc.)
- Maintain and update electronic and hard-copy files for land acquisitions, development projects, permits, and regulatory approvals
- Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, consultants, and municipalities to obtain required documentation and signatures for closings and development activities
- Track key project milestones, contract deadlines, critical dates, and permit expirations to support timely execution and compliance
- Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and presentations
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports; monitor budget codes and verify accuracy of charges with corporate accounting
- Schedule and coordinate internal meetings, site visits, and conference calls for land and development staff
- Affirm land inventory reports, project status updates, and pipeline summaries for management review
- Prepare and distribute agendas, packets, and presentations for land committee or investment committee meetings as requested
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities to manage large volumes of contracts, permits, and project files
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication
- Ability to work cooperatively with multiple departments, including construction, accounting, and legal, to support land activities
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
- Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
- The noise level is generally moderate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting land acquisition, land development, or construction teams preferred
- Familiarity with real estate contracts, municipal permitting processes, or title/escrow procedures
