Lovelace Women’s Hospital is a 53-bed facility featuring an advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state, recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional clinical skills and expertise to the care and management of breastfeeding infants and lactating mothers.
• Develop, promote, and implement lactation support services for clinical staff, patients, and community members.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One (1) year of training and program development experience.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• Intensified training in lactation.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current NRP certification.
• Current IBCLC certification or IBCLC Exam scheduled within one (1) year from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
