Job Summary and Qualifications
The Mother Baby Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality patient care through the nursing process under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor. Responsibilities include delivering care to postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical duties as assigned. The role involves directing nursing care based on established clinical practice and regulatory guidelines. The RN also contributes to quality care through process improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse degree.
- Associate Degree.
- (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant within 1 year of employment start date.
