Job Summary and Qualifications
The Mother Baby Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor. Responsibilities include delivering nursing care for postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical duties as assigned. The role involves directing nursing care based on clinical practice guidelines and regulatory standards. The RN also contributes to quality care through process improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Direct supervision of students may be included as part of the role.
What qualifications you will need
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse degree.
- Aceptable Associate Degree.
- (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
