Lactation Consultant (RN)
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits) – Day Shift
About the Role
Under the direction of the Manager or Director, the Lactation Consultant is a Registered Nurse who provides lactation management services to expectant and new parents. These functions are performed in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide lactation management services to expectant and new parents.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – required
- Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri – required
- CLC (Certified Lactation Consultant) – required
- BLS Certification – required
- Certified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) – required within one (1) year of hire
- Previous experience in maternal-child health nursing – required
- Five years of experience in lactation consulting – preferred
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing – preferred
