Laborer - OSP Data Center

About the role

National Technologies (NTI), a Network Connex Company, is a premier turnkey installer of fiber optic and data center infrastructure. As a Fiber Splicing Helper/Laborer, you will assist the Fiber Splicing teams and actively learn fiber splicing for both loose tube and ribbon fibers, as well as fiber optic testing. No experience is necessary—we provide thorough onboarding and training programs to prepare you for success.

Responsibilities

• Pair with certified fiber splicers to learn day-to-day tasks, including fiber optic cable prep, splicing, and testing.
• Assist with fiber optic cable placement in OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) environments.
• Perform data center cage and overhead ladder rack installations in accordance with industry standards.
• Read and follow design engineers’ instructions and specifications while maintaining project scope and adhering to safety procedures.
• Work in field conditions that may require overtime, weekends, holidays, and off-hours, with potential travel based on business needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Knowledge of basic tools, construction practices, and communication networks.
• Physical ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.

Pay

$18.50 - $23.50 an hour
