This hourly, non-exempt position involves a variety of manual labor tasks related to Site Development under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of labor tasks related to Site Development as assigned by supervisor.
  • Serve as Site Attendant to verify and ensure appropriate personnel enter/exit the site.
  • Act as Spotter to guide vehicles or equipment operating in reverse to prevent incidents.
  • Exercise proper care and use of hand tools and power tools, including pumps, generators, saws, drills, and compaction equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling and placement of all construction materials.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and a neat, organized job site.
  • Work safely around all equipment and in trenches or confined spaces when accompanied by qualified workers.
  • Report any unsafe practices or situations to the Foreman.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisory personnel and co-workers.
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times on job sites and dress according to company policy.
  • Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
  • May operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment, such as skid steer, roller, paver, or screed.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
  • Learn and follow GOH Company policies and procedures.
  • Arrive promptly at designated times and locations, ready to perform assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Prefer valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per company standards.
  • Prefer ability to operate small trucks and vans (non-CDL).
  • Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
  • Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer some prior experience in construction or related fields.
  • Minimum one year of experience working around heavy and highway construction equipment preferred.
  • Required training: PennDOT Flagger Training and Work Zone Traffic Control – PennDOT.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant (67%-100%) ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Constant (67%-100%) ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand for long periods in outdoor weather.
  • Constant (67%-100%) ability to work in field environments with exposure to dust, inclement weather, extreme heat, noise, vibrations, and petroleum products.
  • Constant (67%-100%) ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Schedule

  • Frequently work more than 40 hours per week, including night shifts, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays.

This is a safety-sensitive position.
