About the Role

Serves as an Automotive Detailer performing duties independently or as a member of a work crew in an auto craft shop. Additional responsibilities include maintaining outdoor areas.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads supplies; moves materials using hand trucks or dollies.
• Stacks and arranges supplies for storage; collects refuse and recyclable materials.
• Mows grass, trims and edges walkways and lawns.
• Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Must complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2, including a pre-employment physical.
• May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of experience directly related to the duties to be performed or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the described duties.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Additional Information

• This job is open to candidates who reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
• This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. Overtime pay is earned for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week, whichever benefits the employee more.
• Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays.
• Employees may be eligible for extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
• Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.
