Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and supervise laboratory tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, and aggregate.
- Analyze test results and produce comprehensive reports.
- Safeguard all laboratory activities according to ASTM, AASHTO, and other pertinent standards.
- Create and enforce quality control protocols for laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager and Client Coordinator to offer technical assistance and advice.
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Stay informed about the latest industry developments and improvements in laboratory testing techniques.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Extensive knowledge of ASTM and AASHTO standards.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a civil engineering laboratory setting.
- A Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with advanced geotechnical testing, including permeameter tests, oedometer tests, triaxial and direct shear tests, and other advanced testing methods (e.g., CRS, DSS, Triaxial Extension).
- Familiarity with laboratory management software.
- Aptitude with mechanical and electrical test systems.
- Familiarity and experience with Trautwein GeoTac Software.
