About the role

The Labor Relations & Compliance Consultant is responsible for administering collective bargaining agreements, participating in the bargaining process, investigating and reviewing complaints, and providing advice and consultation on Employment Law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and consult management and staff on Labor Relations and Employment Law
  • Investigate and review investigations of complaints of harassment, vulnerable adult allegations, employee misconduct, and performance issues
  • Provide advice, consultation, training, and process review on FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance
  • Review and provide guidance on Employment Law compliance including policies, procedures, and directives
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve sensitive, controversial, and confidential HR issues

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Workers Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pertinent state and federal employment laws
  • Experience in continuous 24-hour operations
  • Public sector labor relations experience

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$35.30 - $52.35 / hourly; $73,706 - $109,306 / annually

Schedule

Day Shift / 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
